A high-ranking FBI agent made a series of baffling mistakes.

For one, the agent filed a sensitive internal manual about secret interrogation practices with the Library of Congress, which means anyone with library card get access it without any redactions, Mother Jones reports.

While the manual sat in a public The ACLU had tried for years to get a copy of the manual and has only ever received a heavily redacted copy.

Turns out, the supervisory special agent wanted to get it copyrighted – even though government documents can’t be copyrighted.

“A document that has not been released does not even need a copyright,” says Steven Aftergood, a government secrecy expert at the Federation of American Scientists. “Who is going to plagiarize from it? Even if you wanted to, you couldn’t violate the copyright because you don’t have the document. It isn’t available.”

“The whole thing is a comedy of errors,” he adds. “It sounds like gross incompetence and ignorance.”

Just days after Joseph “JoJo” Giorgianni took a plea deal and implicated the Trenton Mayor Tony Mack in a corruption scheme, professionally looking signs began popping up that displayed “JoJo” and a rat, NJ.com reports.

The FBI is taking the signs seriously.

“It’s more than crazy, it’s a serious crime,” Giorgianni’s attorney, Jerome Ballarotto said. “And Hamilton Township police doesn’t think it’s funny, and neither does the FBI.”

Giorgianni was arrested along with Mack and his brother Ralphiel in January.

After more than a dozen Secret Service agents and officers were implicated in a prostitution scandal, the agency’s inspector general sought to determine whether the male-dominated agency had widespread problems with sexual misconduct.

The conclusion from the long-awaited report: The Secret Service does not have a widespread problem with sexual misconduct, the Washington Post reports.

The report only found isolated cases of misconduct.

To address the problems, the inspector general offered new guidelines.

“Although individual employees have engaged in misconduct or inappropriate behavior, we did not find evidence that misconduct is widespread in USSS,” the Office of the Inspector General’s report concluded, according to a copy obtained late Thursday by The Washington Post. “Furthermore, we did not find any evidence that USSS leadership has fostered an environment that tolerates inappropriate behavior.”
