The FBI’s decision to reject a judge’s request for information on the bureau’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private e-mail system has prompted outrage from Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley.

Politico reports that Grassley didn’t mince words after the FBI refused to provide information on whether the bureau retrieved e-mail records.

“The FBI is behaving like it’s above the law,” said Grassley, whose committee oversees the bureau. “Simply refusing to cooperate with a court-ordered request is not an appropriate course of action.”

Grassley hasn’t said yet what actions his committee will take.

Few people in the FBI have the experience cracking down on public corruption quite like Michael Anderson.

Anderson, the new boss of Chicago’s FBI office, has written the bureau’s Public Corruption manual and led investigations into former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin and lobbyist Jack Abramoff, the Chicago Tribune reports.

In mid-October, the 48-year-old will become special agent in chafe of the Chicago FBI after three years at the helm of the bureau’s New Orleans division.

Anderson’s career with the FBI began in 1995 in Miami, where he began investigating public corruption. He moved on to Washington in 2001, also helping investigate public corruption.

In 2006, Anderson led the Public Corruption Unit at FBI headquarters.

Although gangster James “Whitey” Bulger hasn’t seen “Black Mass,” a new film depicting his life of crime, he already hates it.

Yahoo News reports he declined to meet with Johnny Depp, who is portraying him in a movie that has had lukewarm reviews.

In fact, Bulger has no plans to watch it, even though the opportunity may never arise since he’s serving two life sentences in prison.

“Johnny Depp might as well have been playing the Mad Hatter all over again as far as James Bulger is concerned,” Bulger’s lawyer, Hank Brennan says. “Hollywood greed is behind the rush to portray my client, and the movie missed the real scourge created in my client’s case, the real menace to Boston during that time and in other mob cases around the country – the federal government’s complicity in each and every one of those murders with the top echelon informant program.”

After the Secret Service disrupted a cancer vigil over the weekend, the agency’s director apologized Monday.

Secret Service Director Joseph Clancy pledged to investigate why his agency forced parents and their cancer-stricken children from a park near the White House.

Clancy met with Mike Gillette, an advocate for CureFest for Childhood Cancer.

“He was very open and honest, saying that they (Secret Service) made a mistake,” Gillette said. “We never thought there was any malice intended. We’re just a bunch of families who care about kids with cancer.”

The Secret Service cleared the park because President Obama was attending an event outside of the White House on Saturday night.
