The infamous masked ISIS executioner known as “Jihadi John” was targeted by a U.S. drone strike in Syrian on Thursday, but his fate was unknown this morning, USA Today reports.

The militant, a British resident whose real name is Mohamed Emwazi, is believed to have beheaded several Western hostages in Syria.

The Pentagon was trying to determine whether Emwazi was in fact killed.

“U.S. forces conducted an airstrike . . . targeting Mohamed Emwazi, also known as “Jihadi John,” Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said on Thursday.

“We are assessing the results of tonight’s operation and will provide additional information as and where appropriate,” Cook said.

The 26-year-old who gradated from the University of Westminster in London began appearing in beheading videos in August 2014.

The FBI’s investigation into Hillary Clinton now involves determining whether the former secretary of sate violated a federal statute on providing “materially false” information, The Hill reports.

“The agents involved are under a lot of pressure and are busting a–,” an unidentified intelligence source told Fox, noting the statute can be broadly applied.

The news comes as the FBI reportedly stepped up its investigation earlier this week into Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server.

Republicans have been dogging Clinton over the investigation.

“I think she’s being protected by the Democrats, by the prosecutors and possibly by the FBI,” Donald Trump said Thursday during an interview on Fox Business when asked about the FBI probe.

“What she did is a crime,” Trump added. “She broke the law 100 percent.”

A new exhibit at a Washington D.C. museum is haunting collection of artifacts from the FBI’s biggest terrorism cases since Sept. 11, 2001.

The exhibit, “Inside Today’s FBI: Fighting Crime in the Age of Terror,” showcases 160 artifacts from the terrorism cases, The USA Today reports.

Included are running shoes worn by a reporter who was running in the Boston Marathon when the bomb attack occurred in 2013. Another artifact is the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder that was rigged with explosives in an attempted bombing of Times Square on May 1, 2010.

Another display called a “wall of terror” displays 18 IEDs from Iraq and Afghanistan.

“It is important to us to have these objects create a visceral effect,” exhibit writer Ellie Stanton says.

A 37-year-old Secret Service officer assigned to the White House is accused of sending a picture of his genitals to a detective masquerading as a 14-year-old girl in Delaware, The USA Today reports.

Lee Robert Monroe, of Church Hill, Md., is facing state and federal charges after investigators said he used a cellphone social media app to send the naked photo and try to set up a meeting.

Some of the communication occurred as Monroe was working in the uniformed division of the Secret Service, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Delaware.

Moore is charged in federal court with attempted transfer of obscene material to a minor. He also faces two state charges of soliciting a minor for sex and one count of obscenity material provided to a minor.

Despite a year-long review that recommended against Border Patrol wearing body cameras, the head of CBP said the goal is to eventually employ the technology in the field, the Arizona Republic reports.

The CBP commissioner said the cameras must withstand long hours in often harsh environments.

“We will work through it both from a technological stand point and a negotiation standpoint, but the goal is to employ body cameras where they would be most useful and helpful,” CBP Commissioner R. Gil Kerlikowske said Thursday in a conference call with reporters.

One obstacle is the expected resistance from labor unions representing Border Patrol agents.

The news comes after a review released last week suggested the body cameras that were tested were not suitable for use by Border Patrol agents.

It’s not yet clear when the cameras would be employed.

“Let me assure you, it won’t be years and any opposition that is out there can be overcome and then we will move forward with this,” Kerlikowske said.
