Donald Eugene Webb has managed to elude the FBI since he was suspected of fatally shooting a police chief in Pennsylvania in 1980.

For more than two decades, Webb has been on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list.

Now the FBI is increasing publicity around its $100,000 reward in hopes of solving the mystery of Webb’s whereabouts, the Associated Press reports.

Law enforcement isn’t even sure if he’s alive. He’d be 84.

Described as a career criminal with mob tie, Webb often targeted jewelry stores.

Saxonburg Police Chief Gregory Adams was shot twice in the chest after pulling over Webb for running a stop sign.

Since then, Webb has eluded authorities.
