Like clockwork, President Trump continued to his tirade Tuesday morning against the special counsel investigation and the media, calling Robert Mueller “a conflicted prosecutor gone rogue.”

But as is usual with Trump’s tweetstorms, the president provided no evidence to back up his hyperbolic claims that included calling the 19-month probe a “phony witch hunt.”

The Phony Witch Hunt continues, but Mueller and his gang of Angry Dems are only looking at one side, not the other,” Trump tweeted. “Wait until it comes out how horribly & viciously they are treating people, ruining lives for them refusing to lie.”

He continued, “The Fake News Media builds Bob Mueller up as a Saint, when in actuality he is the exact opposite. He is doing TREMENDOUS damage to our Criminal Justice System, where he is only looking at one side and not the other. Heroes will come of this, and it won’t be Mueller and histerrible Gang of Angry Democrats. Look at their past, and look where they come from. The now $30,000,000 Witch Hunt continues and they’ve got nothing but ruined lives.”

The tweet comes one day after yet another Trump associate, Paul Manafort, was accused of lying to the FBI.

Democrats are worried Trump is trying to derail the investigating after replacing Attorney General Jeff Sessions with a loyalist, Matthew Whitaker.

Special Counsel: Manafort Repeatedly Lied to FBI in Violation of Plea Agreement

President Trump’s former campaign chief, Paul Manafort, repeatedly lied to the FBI in violation of a plea agreement he reached with special counsel prosecutors about two months ago, according to a court filing late Monday.

Robert Mueller’s special counsel team wrote that Manafort’s “crimes and lies” about “a variety of subject matters” is a breach of his agreement, the New York Times reports.

Since he violated the agreement, the prosecutors said, Manafort does not deserve leniency when he is sentenced.

It’s unclear what prosecutors believe Manafort lied about, but his lawyers have an opportunity to challenge the prosecutors’ allegations.

Manafort’s lawyers maintain he did what he was asked and that he “believes he has provided truthful information,”

Judge Amy Berman Jackson of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia is expected to soon announce a sentencing date for Manafort, who has been in solitary confinement in a jail in Alexandria, Va.
