Since the FBI began asking the public for more information about late Alaskan serial killer Israel Keyes, the agency has received about 100 phone calls, the Seattle Times reports.

But none has helped authorities connect Keyes with more missing people.

“The majority of phone calls were from people who knew him and interacted with him, who would give information about the types of things he did, activity he was involved in,” FBI special agent Jolene Goeden of Anchorage told the Peninsula Daily News.

So far, authorities believe Keyes killed 11 people between 2001 and 2012, the Seattle Times wrote.

Matthew Feldman lost track of his mother about five years ago. The New Jersey mom had chronic drug problems, and her son believed she was in a witness protection program.

Then the FBI told him recently that his mother likely was yet another victim of serial killer Israel Keyes, who is believed to have murdered at least 11 people, UPI reports.

Feldman’s mom, Debra Feldman, turned up missing about the time that authorities believe Keyes killed another woman on the east coast.

Keyes committed suicide in an Anchorage, Alaska jail in December 2012.

The last time Feldman saw his mom, he said he reluctantly gave her money for rent.

“It’s unfair to say that I didn’t care whether she lived or died, but it was once the truth,” Feldman said. “The last thing I said to her was, ‘If you’re not going to get clean, you have no room in my life.'”

Serial Killer Toys with FBI in Newly Released Video of Interrogations

Alaska-based serial killer Israel Keyes, who took his own life last year, is shown in a new video toying with the FBI about his alleged victims, Slate reports.

At one point, Keyes says he’s unwilling to discuss details of the victims because he doesn’t want his mom to find out. Then he jokes with agents that he’s wasting tax dollars with digs for his victims.

When an agent expressed impatience with Keyes for not releasing some information, Keyes responds: “There’s gonna be a lot of frustration before this is all over but I mean there—it’s already been years of frustration for a lot of people. So they’re gonna have to learn to live with it for a little bit longer.”

The investigation and search continues.

“That fact that Keyes is dead makes it more difficult for us,” an Anchorage FBI agent said, “but the investigation absolutely continues.”

Israel Keyes took the easy way out.

After the serial killer accused of murdering at least 11 people committed suicide in his Anchorage jail cell in early December, the FBI compiled a list of Keyes’ likely victims, Reuters reports.

Keyes was waiting trial for the murder of an Anchorage barista.

The FBI on Monday released more information about Keyes’ suspected murders, which investigators said began in 2001 and lasted until 2012.

“Right now, the best hope for solving these cases is going to come from information from the public,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Kevin Feldis, who led the prosecution of Keyes, told Reuters.

At first, the handwritten notes were too bloody to read.

So the letters, which were found beneath Alaska serial killer Israel Keyes’s body after he committed suicide by slitting his wrists, were sent to an FBI lab in Virginia for restoration, the Associated Press reports.

The notes provided investigators with no details about the crimes, such as the names of victims, but the yellow legal pad contained poetry about American materialism and disturbing writings about an unidentified victim, the AP reported

“Land of the free, home of the lie, land of the scheme, Americanize! Consume what you don’t need, stars you idolize, pursue what you adore it is a dream, then its American die,” Keyes wrote.
