A Sarasota woman said the FBI knew for years about allegations that now-former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle was interested in underage girls.

Rochelle Herman said she notified the FBI about Fogle after the pair vacationed together in Sarasota and he made inappropriate comments about middle school girls, CBS Miami reports.

For four years, she said, she worked with the FBI and recorded conversations with Fogle.

She said Fogle also told her he went to Thailand to meet underage girls.

Prosecutors allege Fogle had sex acts with minors in New York City.

He pleaded guilty Wednesday to child pornography charges.

Did FBI ‘Whitewash’ Investigation of Saudi Connection to Sept. 11 Attacks?

By Steve Neavling

About two weeks before the Sept. 11 attacks, a well-connected Saudi family left their luxury home in Sarasota, Fla., leaving behind expensive possessions without letting neighbors or the mail carrier know.

The New York Post reports that a couple made a hasty, suspicious retreat back to Saudi Arabia.

A subsequent investigation found that at least one of the family members trained at the same flight school as some of the hijackers.

The investigation was active for years and included the FBI’s Tampa field office and the bureau’s office in New York and Washington.

The New York Post wrote:

The Saudi-9/11 connection in Florida was no small part of the overall 9/11 investigation. Yet it was never shared with Congress. Nor was it mentioned in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Now it’s being whitewashed again, in a newly released report by the 9/11 Review Commission, set up last year by Congress to assess “any evidence now known to the FBI that was not considered by the 9/11 Commission.” Though the FBI acknowledges the Saudi family was investigated, it maintains the probe was a dead end

FBI Never Publicly Disclosed Saudi Couple Abandoning Home With New Car Right Before Sept. 11

Ex-Sen. Graham/meet the press

Is there even more about the Saudi connection to 9/11 that we didn’t know about?

Well, ex-Sen. Bob Graham, former co-chair of a Congressional inquiry after the September 11, 2001, seems to think so and is calling for the U.S. government to reopen its probe in wake of a news report that says a Saudia Arabian couple in Sarasota, Fla., abruptly abandon their home two weeks before the attacks, leaving behind a full refrigerator, clothes, and a new car, Reuters reported.

Reuters reported that the report was published by BrowardBulldog.org., a nonprofit Internet news site and was simultaneously published on the news website of the Miami Herald.

Reuters said the report, if true, indicates the FBI never disclosed the matter to the public or the 2002 joint Congressional intelligence committee investigating the attacks.

Reuters reported that the FBI office in Tampa issued a statement on Monday saying the Sarasota case was one of many leads that “were resolved and determined not to be related to any threat nor connected to the 9/11 plot.”
