An alert off-duty FBI agent busted three teenagers and an adult who were breaking into cars in the Detroit suburb of Lyon Township.

The agent called Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies after he spotted suspicious-looking occupants of a Ford Taurus peering into parked cars and checking to see if the doors were unlocked, The Oakland Press reports

Arrested were two 17-year-old girls, a 17-year-old boy and a 23-year-old man.

Deputies searched the car with permission from the owner and found several wallets, work boots, a backpack, medical equipment and a concealed-weapon permit.

Authorities believe two of the suspects were involved in a string of other vehicle break-ins.

The family of a 15-year-old who was fatally shot by an off-duty ICE agent Friday night in Arcadia, Calif., claims the official narrative is false.

The agent said Darius Smith and two 14-year-old pointed a gun at him and demanded his money after they exited a train Friday night, TheRoot.com reports. In an act of self-defense, he said he shot the teens.

Smith died at a hospital, and the two 14-year-olds were not in life-threatening condition as of today.

The teens face robbery charges.

Smith’s mother, Reshawna Myricks, is disputing the agent’s story, saying the teens would never try to rob someone.

“Them boys didn’t do that,” Myricks told KCAL9. “They aren’t those type of boys to do that.”

“[They’re] going to walk home; they’re going to see their kids tonight,” Myricks said of the border agent and law-enforcement officers claiming that her son committed a crime. “I got to go back and tell my other three that one of them ain’t coming back no more.

“First they said there was no crime committed,” Myricks continued. “Now there is a crime committed. Now it’s a gun; then they said there was a fight. I don’t know what to believe. All I know is my baby [is] gone and I’ll never know his story.”

The boys, who are 15 and 16, shot out a window in the Border Patrol vehicle on Dec. 30, according to a CBP release.

No one was in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, and no one was injured.

The shooter managed to escape capture until their parents contacted the local sheriff’s office after recognizing the boys in a photo released to the public.

NY Magazine Writer: ‘FBI Is Bad at Talking with Teens’ As Evidenced by ISIS Video

If there’s one thing you can say about ISIS, besides the fact that it’s a medieval death cult responsible for inconceivable blood crimes, it’s that its recruiters are very charming on social media. But don’t worry: The Federal Bureau of Investigation is ready to fight back. It used your tax dollars to create Don’t Be A Puppet, a website for educating teens on violent extremism and the ways that online recruiters make contact. I took the site for a spin yesterday to earn an online certificate (really) in “countering violent extremism,” and quickly discovered: The FBI is bad at talking to teens.

The site’s main tactic for teaching its users about violent extremism is a set of quizzes, which cover not just international groups like ISIS but also white supremacists and that scourge of 21st-century America, environmental extremists.

You’ll realize that we’re working with something special when you arrive at this, the FBI’s mockup of a teen’s computer screen. You know, Just Teen Things: hundreds of lines of HTML and CSS.

Teenage hackers who managed to break into the email account of CIA Director John Brennan have struck a White House official, Motherboard reports.

The group, called Crackas with Attitude, gained access to the home phone and email accounts of President Obama’s senior advisor on science and technology, John Holdren.

The hackers managed to manipulate the phone so that all calls would get forwarded to the Free Palestine Movement.

One of the members of the hacking group sent an email to Motherboard to divulge the latest stunt.

“If you don’t believe me you can call the home phone,” he said, before sending me a phone number that belongs to Holdren.

When Motherboard called the number, the reporter was forwarded to the Free Palestine Movement, which answered the phone.

FBI: ISIS Is Recruiting Teenagers from U.S. to Join Widening Terror Campaign

The terrorist group, ISIS, is recruiting teenagers in the U.S. as part of a broadening campaign of violence, a top FBI official told CNN.

Michael Steinbach, head of the FBI’s counterterrorist division, said the teenagers are as young as 15. He said he “can’t speak with 100% certainty that individuals of that age group have not gotten over there successfully.”

Even parents are encouraging their children to join terror groups, he said.

“There are individuals out there who are inspired by the message of terrorist groups and they encourage family members, including their children, to follow that path,” he said.

ISIS also is recruiting women.

“The recruitment of women by ISIS is much more than we’ve ever seen by a terrorist organization,” he said. “We have seen everything from a female fighter — dedicated groups of women fighters — and those who have come over to support foreign fighters by marrying them.”

The FBI believes three teenage girls from suburban Denver were headed to Syria to join Islamic State militants in Syria.

The Associated Press reports that two sisters, ages 17 and 15, and their friend, age 16, were stopped at the Frankfurt, Germany en route to Turkey and then Syria.

The sisters are of Somali descent, while their friend is of Sudanese descent.

Now the FBI is trying to determine whether any of their friends may try to join Islamic State.

The sisters were reported missing by their father after they skipped school Friday.

The families expressed shock and said they hadn’t had problems with the girls.
