FBI Investigation Finds No Laws Were Violated over Extra Scrutiny of Tea Party, Other Conservative Groups

The FBI’s investigation of the IRS’ extra scrutiny of the Tea Party likely won’t lead to charges, Reuters reports.

Investigators said there was no evidence of bias in the pursuit of the conservative groups to justify charges.

President Obama’s administration has come under attack for give disproportionate attention to political enemies.

The Justice Department declined to comment, but FBI Director James Comey said last week, “It’s an investigation that we’re still working, and that’s an important one for us.”
