This wasn’t your typical call to the White House.

The man on the phone was a Washington D.C. firefighter who was angry that investigators in Anne Arundel County were not reviewing death threats he had been receiving, myfoxdc.com reports.

“What do I have to do? Air those threats over the truck’s loudspeaker when I come onto the White House grounds?” the man asked on the White House comment line.

The veteran firefighter was placed on desk duty pending an investigation after White House officials expressed alarm.

The firefighter said he regrets making the call and did it out of frustration because no one was taking his report of threats seriously.
