FBI Director Says He Has No Regrets about Handling of Hillary Clinton Probe

By Steve Neavling

FBI Director James Comey told a Senate committee on Thursday that he felt “mildly nauseous” that he may have affected the outcome of the presidential election, but said he would do it over again.

Comey was hammered with questions for four hours from the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“Lordy, has this been painful,” Comey said. “I’ve gotten all kinds of rocks thrown at me and this has been really hard, but I think I’ve done the right thing at each turn.”

Comey insisted he had a responsibility to notify Congress that new information had prompted the FBI to reopen the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s email scandal less than two weeks before the election.

Sen. Patric Leahy, D-Vt., was not happy, he told the Washington Post after the hearing.

“I would have been satisfied if he had done what all Republican and Democratic administrations have done in the past,” Leahy said. “The Justice Department has a procedure. You do not release information like that just before an election.”

Comey offered new details about what lead up to his decision to notify Congress of the investigation.

“Somehow, her emails were being forwarded to Anthony Weiner, including classified information,’’ Comey said, adding later, “His then-spouse Huma Abedin appears to have had a regular practice of forwarding emails to him for him to print out for her so she could deliver them to the secretary of state.”

The rogue FBI translator who married an ISIS operative she was directed to investigate refused to field media questions outside of her home in Syracuse, New York.

Daniela Greene, who lives on a block with a large population of Muslim immigrants, ducked questions from the New York Post

The 38-year-old was sentenced to two years in prison in 2014 after returning from the Middle East, where she had married German rapper-turned-ISIS recruiter Denis Cuspert and notified him of the investigation.

Greene was working out of the FBI’s Detroit office when she left her husband and snuck into Syria from Turkey.

The husband, Matthew Greene, would only say that his relationship with Daniela Greene “ is over.”

FBI Helps American University Investigate Discovery of Bananas Hanging from Nooses

The FBI is helping American University track down whoever hung bananas from nooses in multiple locations on campus.

Scrawled on the bananas was “AKA,” the acronym for the historically black sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha, NBC Washington reports

Incensed students are planning another day of demonstrations to urge the administration to find the culprit.

The FBI’s Civil Rights division is lending a hand because a racially motivated hate crime appears to have been committed.

The bananas were found on the same day that an AKA member became the university’s first black student government president.

Campus police distributed what they believe is the suspect walking alone on an empty campus between 3:45 a.m, and 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, when at least three bananas were hung in nooses on campus.

Black students threatened to withdrawal from school.

“If our existence isn’t valued on this campus, then we don’t need to be here,” student Ma’at Sargeant said Tuesday.

FBI Says Cop Killings Are ‘the New Norm,’ Inspired by Black Lives Matter

An internal FBI investigation concluded that the media, Black Lives Matter and politicians are to blame for the spike on attacks on police.

“Law enforcement officials believe that defiance and hostility displayed by assailants toward law enforcement appears to be the new norm,” said the internal report stamped “For Official Use Only,” The Washington Examiner reports.

On Tuesday, two Chicago cops were injured in “targeted” shootings.

The four-page report traces the spike in shootings of police back to Ferguson, where the death of Michael Brown sparked protests nationwide.

In at least a quarter of the 53 shootings that killed 60 police in 2016, the FBI found that the gunmen were targeting police to kill them.

Late night comedian Stephen Colbert had harsh words for FBI Director James Comey following controversial testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Colbert played clips of Wednesday’s committee hearing in which Comey defended his decision to notify Congress that the Hillary Clinton investigation had reopened.

Colbert also ribbed Comey for saying he was “mildly nauseous” for potentially upending the election.

“Maybe it’s morning sickness — after all, you did screw the whole country,” Colbert said.
