The purported spokesman for the hacking group Anonymous was arrested by the FBI on allegations that he threatened an FBI agent, his attorney said Thursday, the Washington Post reports.

Barrett Brown, 31, of Dallas is expected to be charged in connection with YouTube videos in which Brown rails against federal authorities.

In one of the profanity-laced videos, Brown addresses FBI Agent Robert Smith.

“So that’s why Robert Smith’s life is over,” Brown said. “But when I say his life is over, I don’t say I’m going to go kill him. But I am going to ruin his life and look into his (expletive) kids.”

Anonymous splinter group AntiSec appears to have retaliated Thursday night by posting addresses and credit card numbers of 13 federal government workers, the Dallas Morning News reports.

AntiSec claimed to have hacked an FBI computer to obtain personal information on millions of Apple users last week, but its story was quickly refuted by Apple and the bureau.

Was the FBI keeping tabs on millions of Apple devices?

No, says an Orlando company that claims it – not the FBI – was hacked to obtain millions of identification numbers for Apple devices, the New York Times reports.

Hacking group AntiSec – a subset of the hacking collective known as Anonymous – claimed it had stolen the identification numbers from an FBI laptop, which would suggested the agency was spying on millions of Americans.

The Orlando company, BlueToad, which works with creates digital and mobile formats for users, said its contents matched the stolen information, according to the New York Times.
