The FBI, ATF and U.S. Coast Guard on Sunday raided the Santa Barbara offices of a diving company that owns the boat that caught fire off the California coast and killed 34 people on Labor Day.

Federal agents also served warrants to search two boats owned by the company, Truth Aquatics, the Los Angeles Times first reported.

Authorities have been trying to determine the cause of the fire and why no one below the deck was able to escape. The only survivors were a captain and four crew members, who were on deck when the fire broke out shortly after 3 a.m.

No one was arrested during the raids as investigators snapped photos and seized boxes.

“You can only do so much with your basic investigative efforts, and at some point you have to use a search warrant as the means to collect information,” Lt. Eric Raney of the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office told the Times.

A Secret Service agent has died after her kayak capsized in a Maryland river.

Special Agent Stephanie Hancock, who had served on the Presidential Protective Detail, was kayaking with her boyfriend on the Severn River on Saturday, WJZ-TV reports.

After the boat overturned, her boyfriend tried to rescue her but to no avail. Rescue teams pulled him out of the water.

Hancock’s body was recovered about six hours after she slipped into the water and disappeared.

“On Saturday, June 29, 2019, the Secret Service lost one of our own in a tragic kayaking accident in Maryland. Special Agent Stephanie Hancock had been with the U.S. Secret Service since 2007, last serving on the Presidential Protective Detail,” USSS said in a statement. “Our condolences, as well as our thoughts and prayers, are with the family of Special Agent Hancock.”

It wasn’t immediately clear what caused the kayak to capsize, but authorities said Hancock was not wearing a life jacket.

The FBI is helping investigate the death of a Texas mother who apparently tumbled off a Carnival Cruise ship traveling from Galveston to Cozumel, Mexico.

The Houston Chronicle reports that Samantha Broberg, 33, of Arlington, was lost at sea and her body has yet to be discovered.

“We are coordinating with Carnival to do a complete and thorough investigation,” said Special Agent Shauna Dunlap, of the FBI Houston Division. “Until that investigation is complete, I can’t comment further.”

Broberg was a mother of four.

Surveillance footage shows that Broberg fell backward off the deck late Thursday night.

A boat packed with undocumented immigrants collided with a Border Patrol vessel in Southern California on Thursday, killing one woman, the International Business Times reports.

Border Patrol agents spotted the boat and tried to stop it, but to no avail.

The boat capsized and dumped all 20 people into the water, injuring at least four undocumented immigrants.

It remains unclear how the boat capsized and who struck whom in the collision.

“It’s very unfortunate that there was a loss of life, but we also question the need to fire warning shots specifically when that might deter or scare people from actually making contact with CBP,” Pedro Rios, of the American Friends Service Committee, said to NBC San Diego. “In this case, it’s unclear who struck who, but we do know there was a fatality and that’s very unfortunate.”
