The ATF is investigating the fire-bombing of a local Republican Party office in North Carolina after someone spray-painted anti-GOP rhetoric on a nearby wall early Sunday morning.

Investigators said a molotov cocktail was tossed through a window of the Orange County Republican Party headquarters overnight, causing a fire that damaged the interior of the building before burning out, the Associated Press reports.

Campaign signs, a sofa and the walls were burned.

On an adjacent building was graffiti that read, “Nazi Republicans leave town or else.”

“They are working around the clock. It is a miracle that nobody was killed,” state GOP executive director Dallas Woodhouse said in an interview, calling the fire “political terrorism.”

Hillary Clinton responded on Twitter that the firebombing “is horrific and unacceptable. Very grateful that everyone is safe.”

Donald Trump tweeted, “Animals representing Hillary Clinton and Dems in North Carolina just firebombed our office in Orange County because we are winning.”

The FBI is investigating what appears to be an attempted fire-bombing of the Kansas, Mo., offices of Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, the Los Angeles Times reports.

An intrusion alarm alerted police to the incident at 2:52 a.m. Thursday at the one-story building at 101 W. 31 St.

“Upon arrival, they observed a window on the northwest side of the building to be broken out. On the ground below the window, they observed two broken bottles with paper towels sticking out the necks of the bottles. There was a chemical odor resembling that of lighter fluid,” according to the city police.

A broken window appeared to be the only damage.

This wasn’t the first such attack.

“This is the second incident within the last six years,” John Jones, Cleaver’s chief of staff said in a prepared statement. “The Kansas City police have completed their initial survey of the scene and we await their report. None of the staff was in the building, and because Congress is in session, Congressman Cleaver is in Washington.”

The FBI said it is investigating.

“We have no arrests yet, but we are very early in the investigation,” FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton told the Los Angeles Times said.

By Danny Fenster

We’ve all been annoyed to find a hidden banking fee lurking in the shadows of our bank statements from time to time. But a Utah man took that frustration to another level, according to an Associated Press report out of West Jordan, Utah.

Joshua Raymond Townsend, 20, is facing a federal count of attempting to destroy a building used in interstate commerce after throwing Molotov cocktails at a Wells Fargo Branch. Townsend was arrested about 15 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Townsend began planning a bank bombing about two months, according to federal officials. He had ordered explosive chemicals but decided earlier this week to instead use Molotov cocktails instead. He called police immediately before throwing the first cocktail. That one failed to ignite and a second bounced off a window and set fire to a nearby bush.
