Ten cases related to a child sex sting have been delayed because of the questionable tactics of the head of the FBI’s Northwest Georgia Crime Against Children Task Force, The Times Free Press reports.

Judge Grant Brantley, of Walker County, Ga., put court hearings on hold for at least six months as the FBI conducts an internal investigation into Special Agent Ken Hillman.
Hillman, who headed up a task force aimed at targeting online child molesters, is accused of numerous FBI violations and allowing the estranged wife of millionaire Emerson Russell to be a part of the sting, The Times Free Press reported.
“We have agreed to put things aside for six months and see if it has been concluded,” public defender David Dunn said of the FBI’s investigation.

The FBI is investigating one of its own after he allegedly used his badge to avoid arrest for drunken driving in Georgia, the Chattanooga Times Free Press reports.

Fort Oglethorpe police say Special Agent Ken Hillman received special treatment after getting pulled over for drinking and driving.

For the first time, the FBI acknowledged its investigating Hillman, who also is under fire for allowing a civilian to work on the Northwest Georgia Crimes Against Children Task Force, the Free Press wrote.

“The FBI is aware of the allegations made against one of our special agents and we have launched an investigation into those allegations,” agency spokesman Stephen Emmett told the Free Press.
