More than a dozen people are expected to be charged following the pre-dawn arrests Thursday in Switzerland in the wide-ranging corruption probe of FIFA, soccer’s multibillion-dollar governing body, the New York Times reports.
The investigation involves current and former senior soccer officials who are accused of money laundering, fraud and racketeering.
Thursday’s raid follows a series of similar arrests in May.
The arrests heavily involved South and Central American soccer leaders.
