The British spy behind the salacious and unsubstantiated dossier about Donald Trump’s ties to Russia met with the FBI and provided names of his sources.
Former M16 agent Christopher Steele, who wrote a 35-page report, claiming Kremlin officials had blackmailed Trump as part of a their plot to interfere with the presidential election, ABC News reports.
Lawmakers also want to interview Steele, and they could compel him to talk.
It wasn’t immediately clear what other information Steele provided the FBI.
