Multiple federal law enforcement websites crashed during President Biden’s State of the Union address on Thursday evening.
The websites for CBP, ICE, Homeland Security and the Secret Service went down for unknown reasons, Daily Mail reports.
“‘”Why are a bunch of government websites down at this moment in time. It seems like everyone is distracted by the state of the union so there’s a bunch of backdoor shady stuff going on right now,”‘” said Twitter used John Winters.
The website crashes follow social media and communications websites that crashed in recent weeks. They include LinkedIn, Facebook, Messenger and Instagram. The origin of those crashes also remains a mystery.
Homeland Security officials said the federal government’s website crashes did not appear to be malicious.
