Kristin Rehler has been named special agent in charge of the FBI’s Jacksonville Field Office in Florida.
Rehler, who most recently served in the Inspection Division at FBI headquarters, began her career with the bureau in 1996 in the Houston Field Office.
She became supervisor of the Civil Rights Squad in 2008 and oversaw the Human Trafficking Task Force. In addition, she supervised financial crimes.
In 2012, Rehler began serving as assistant inspector/team leader of the Inspection Division.
Rehler went back to Houston in 2013 to serve as a supervisor before becoming acting assistant special agent in charge of the Criminal Branch and later as acting assistant special agent in charge of the newly created Technical and Administrative Branch.
In 2015, she became assistant special agent in charge of Tampa Field Office, where she led the Criminal Branch and oversaw criminal threats, several resident agencies, and the Evidence Response Team.
In 2021, Rehler became assistant special agent in charge of Tampa’s Counterintelligence and Cyber Branch.
Later that year, Rehler began serving in the Inspection Division, where she stayed until her recent appointment in Jacksonville.
Before joining the bureau, Rehler was a lawyer at a corporate law firm in Washington D.C. She received a bachelor’s degree in political science and psychology from St. Bonaventure University in New York and a juris doctor from the University of South Carolina.
