A Georgia man accused of threatening to kidnap and kill FBI Director Chistopher Wray was arraigned on federal charges Thursday.

John Donovan Woodbury, 34, was indicted by a grand jury on charges of threatening to “assault, kidnap and murder” Wray.

Woodbury allegedly made the threats on 4chan, an internet message board, and included Wray’s purported home address and wrote that the director’s family should “fear stepping one foot outside” their home.

“Threats against such public servants, who have dedicated themselves to enforcing our criminal laws, is especially heinous,” U.S. Attorney Ryan Buchanan said in a statement. “Our office will remain steadfast in helping to ensure that public officials are able to carry out their duties free from fear or intimidation.”
