A federal prosecutor in Colorado died Saturday while snowshoeing in the Rocky Mountain National Park, the Denver Post reported.

Bob Mydans, 64, collapsed shortly after 3 p.m. and couldn’t be revived, the paper reported.

“Bob was a rock, a true mainstay of this office, and never hesitated to take on difficult work, and to do it extraordinarily well,” Denver U.S. Attorney John Walsh said in an email, according to Denver Post. “He will be deeply missed. Our thoughts go out to his wife, Judy, and his entire family.”
