Trio Accused of Shooting ICE Agent Because He Looked Suspicious

A father, son and unidentified minor are in custody on charges they chased down a U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement special agent and shot him in southern Texas last week.

The reason?

According to the son, the trio chased agent Kelton Harrison through an isolated highway before opening fire and wounding him because his car was suspicious, Reuters reported.

Harrison underwent surgery and is expected to recover.

Pedro Alvarado, 41, and his son, Arnoldo Alvarado, 18, face charges of assault on a federal officer and carrying a firearm during a crime.

State authorities took custody of the unidentified juvenile.
