The suspected filmmaker of an anti-Muslim movie that spurred protests across the Middle East could return to prison if he violated his probation, the Associated Press reports.
Authorities interviewed Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, for about a half hour Saturday at a Los Angeles sheriff’s station in his hometown of Cerritos, Calif.
After deputies dropped him off, Nakoula took off and said he’s not returning home. according to the AP .
Authorities are investigating whether Nakoula violated terms of his probation, which stem from financial crimes, the AP reported.
