A 21-year-old man fell for an Internet virus that claimed he owed a fine for looking at child porn.

When Jay Matthew Riley went to a local police department to pay his fine, he was arrested on multiple charges of child porn, accruing to the Prince William County Police Department, ABC 7 WJLA reports.

Riley told he police he was inquiring about any outstanding warrants related to child pornography after he received an “FBI Warning” on his computer that said he would be investigated if he didn’t pay a fine.

So Riley voluntarily handed over his computer, which authorities said contained inappropriate messages and photos of children.

“We’ve never had a case like this, I’m safe to say that,” says Prince William County Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok. “But the nature of what we have here is quite significant and severe.”
