The popular San Francisco media and political consultant who was arrested after federal authorities found bomb-making materials at his apartment bought toxins in the black market, reported SFIST.com.
Using a fake name, Ryan Chamberlain is accused of buying biological agents and lethal toxins from California and Florida. Those toxins include ricin, pure nicotine and abrin.
The abrin powder alone was powerful enough to kill hundreds of people but it would have required more extensive work to purify the substance.
Chamberlain has been ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation.
