Former Florida Attorney General Pamela Jo Bondi has been nominated for Attorney General in the Trump Administration, ABC News reported on its evening newscast Thursday.
The news comes just hours after former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz withdrew his bid. The network reported that Gaetz would not have had enough votes in the Senate to get confirmed.
Bondi, 59, served as the 37th Florida attorney general from 2011 to 2019.
