The FBI has tried to question activists who plan to protest today at the Conference of New England Governors and Eastern Canadian Premiers in Burlington, VT, the Vermont Digger reports.
Occupy Boston responded by reminding activists to get an agent’s card and contact a lawyer. Never lie to feds, the site says.
The protest, known as the BTV Convergence, is designed to show opposition to a tar sand expansion in New England.
“If the FBI is showing up at my neighbor’s door just to ask questions, just to conduct surveillance, that’s ridiculous,” said one of the activists whose name was not released, the Digger reported.
