An ATF agent was injured in a shootout early Tuesday with the leader of the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Arkansas.
Agents were trying to serve a search warrant at the Little Rock home of Bryan Malinowski, the 53-year-old executive director of the airport, ATF said in a statement.
Someone in the home opened fire on the agents.
Agents returned fire, wounding Malinowski, who was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
The ATF agent, whose identity was not released, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The agent was also taken to a hospital for treatment.
It wasn’t immediately clear why agents were serving an arrest warrant. ATF didn’t divulge further information.
Malinowski has worked at the airport for more than 30 years, according to the airport’s website.
