A Border Patrol agent was charged Thursday after allegedly ordering women to show him their breasts while processing their admission into the U.S.
Shane Millan, 53, of Jefferson County, N.Y., was charged with four counts of deprivation of rights under the color of law, the Justice Department announced in a news release.
The charges allege Millan deprived the women of their constitutional right to be free from unreasonable searches during the virtual processings.
Millan told them women that exposing their breasts was a legitimate part of the admissions process, according to the charges.
Millan was arraigned in U.S. District Court in Syracuse.
Office of Professional Responsibility Investigative Operations Directorate handled the case.
