A Border Patrol agent on foot patrol in Texas died Friday following a medical emergency, the agency told Tickle the Wire today.
Foul play isn’t suspected in the death of Agent David Delaney, said Bill Brooks, spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The agency is awaiting results from an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Delaney was hiking near Big Bend National Park in west Texas to install a camera when he died.
Delaney was a 10-year veteran of Border Patrol and was assigned to the Big Bend sector.
He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
