A Border Patrol agent is accused of shooting to death a Central Texas man in a fit of jealousy, the Associated Press reports.

Authorities said Agent Adam Garibay bound his wife in duct tape and demanded she reveal the name of the man she was dating.

“He was able to get from her by threat the address of the man,” Medina County Sheriff Randy Brown said.

Garibay is accused of driving 160 miles to the town of Hondo to shoot 35-year-old Keith Martin, the AP wrote.

Police said the agent fled the scene and led police on an 18-mile chase before he was arrested.
