Two Border Patrol agents were in critical condition Wednesday after their patrol vehicle collided with a tractor trailer in Texas the day before.
One of the agents was unresponsive and life-flighted to a hospital. The other agent was taken to a nearby hospital.
The crash happened near Kingsville on Highway 285, where both vehicles were traveling eastbound.
The tractor-trailer struck the agent’s driver-side door, according to Nueces County emergency officials.
Both agents received surgery and were in critical but stable condition Wednesday.
The crash remains under investigation.
