Scott D. Garrett has been named chief patrol agent of the Border Patrol’s Grand Forks Sector in North Dakota.
Garrett replaces Anthony “Scott” Good, who was named chief patrol agent of the El Paso Sector last month.
“I am excited for this new opportunity and proud to be serving with the men and women of Grand Forks Sector,” Garrett said in a statement. “Border security is national security, and we will continue to work alongside our strategic partners and the community to keep our nation safe.”
Garrett joined Border Patrol in 1996, when he was assigned to the Boulevard Station in San Diego.
Since then, he’s held various leadership roles in three Border Patrol sectors and served at the agency’s headquarters and CBP’s Office of Intelligence.
Garrett received a master of arts degree in national security and strategic studies at U.S. Naval War College and a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice from Sam Houston State University.
He also graduated from the Department of Homeland Security Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program.
