A U.S. Marshals Service task force rescued a starving puppy while “out on a mission” in Memphis, the agency said in a tweet Friday.
The marshals found the four-month-old pup, which they named “Sig,” on Apri. 4 and fed him, Hoodline reports.
One of the deputies is fostering the pup until Humane Society volunteers find him a permanent home.
“One of the Deputy Marshals felt compelled to take him into foster care and show him love,” the agency tweeted.
