Nearly 80 teenagers who were forced into prostitution were rescued during a three-day sting spanning 57 U.S. cities, the FBI announced Monday, Reuters reports.

The operation carried out by the FBI and state and local police also netted the arrests of 104 alleged pimps in cities from Sacramento to Toledo, Ohio.

The rescued teens were aged from 13 to 17 years old and were being held against their will, according to Reuters. Of the 79 teens, 77 were girls. All were U.S. citizens.

The FBI said the prostitution rings were well-established criminal enterprises.
