Disgraced FBI agent John Morris made a tearful courtroom apology Monday to the family of one of the alleged murder victims in the trial of accused mob boss James “Whitey” Bulger, ABC News reports.

Morris testified that he gave former FBI agent John Connolly information that ultimately led to the murder of two people, including an innocent bystander.

“Not a day in my life has gone by that I haven’t thought about this. Not a day in my life has gone by that I haven’t prayed that God gives you blessing and comfort for the pain that you suffered,” Morris told family of the bystander, Michael Donahue.

The family responded that Morris’ gesture “didn’t mean anything.”
