Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is calling Donald Trump “a one note orchestra” who “appeals to the lowest common denominator, the most baser violent instincts of his most extreme supporters.”
Appearing the other day on CNN, McCabe weighed in on Trump’s call for his supporters to lash out if he’s indicted. McCabe said authorities should have heightened security concerns in New York, D.C. and “any place else around this country where extremist supporters of the former president might gather. I mean look what what we’re seeing here is predictable and it shouldn’t surprise anyone.”
McCabe said Trump is trying to get the mob, like on Jan. 6, to help him get out of trouble.
“To be clear, he is in a lot of trouble.”
McCabe was fired in March 2018 by Trump’s attorney general, Jeff Sessions. In 2021, he settled a lawsuit against the DOJ that restored his full pension.
