Iowa U.S. Attorney Stephanie Rose, who is under consideration for a federal judgeship, is coming under attack by a former employee.

The Des Moines Register reports that former Assistant U.S. Attorney Martha Fagg, 53, has filed a lawsuit accusing Rose, 39, of age discrimination, harassment and creating a hostile work environment.

The suit, filed last week, alleges that Rose removed or demoted staff and attorneys who were over 40 years old. It also alleged that Rose, the U.S. attorney for the Northern District of Iowa, retaliated when she complained about possible discrimination.

Rose has called the suit baseless.
