WASHINGTON — The former deputy chief of staff for Ex-Atty Gen. Janet Reno is the likely candidate for the U.S. Attorney post in Miami, the Miami Herald is reporting.
Wifredo Ferrer, the son of Cuban immigrants, appears to the be the front runner.
“First of all, he understood better than anybody I’ve worked with how the federal government works with local and state governments,” Reno told the Herald.“If I wanted to write the book about how to be the U.S. attorney, Willy would be one of my models.”
