Apparently ex-Secret Service agent James Bartee learned a thing or two about fighting tough in politics while protecting politicians.
The Independent Mail in South Carolina reports that he came out swinging during a speech Monday before a Republican party forum, and questioned the moral fitness of his three opponents for sheriff in Oconee County, S.C.
Without naming names of his three opponents, the paper reported, he asked the crowd of about 200 if they wanted to elect someone who had been fired, had been accused of beating his wife, had fathered two illegitimate children, had been accused of stealing drugs or drug money, had been accused of being lazy on the job or of having conducted sexual affairs while on the job.
