FBI Agent Charged with Stealing Money, Personal Property During Search Warrants

An FBI agent was indicted for allegedly stealing money and personal property while executing search warrants.

Nicholas Anthony Williams, 36, who has worked out of the Houston Field Office since 2019, was charged with theft of personal and government property and providing false statements, the Justice Department announced in a news release

Williams worked in the criminal violent gang and counterterrorism squads. 

The Justice Department alleges he stole money while executing search warrants between March 2022 and July 2023. 

He’s also accused of stealing multiple cell phones that were FBI property and providing false statements about several fraudulent charges on his government-issued credit card, according to the indictment. 

Williams faces up to 10 years in federal prison and a $250,000 fine.
