FBI agents are in Hawaii searching for the suspect of a two bombings in California that targeted companies that tested animals for products.
Hawaii News Now reports that authorities are also erecting signs offering a $250,000 for the capture of Daniel Andreas San Diego, who is suspected of two bombings in 2003.
“They showed us their FBI badges and they gave us the flyer for this guy,” said Bethany Kiley, an employee at Jeff Hunt Surfboards in Pahoa. “They wanted us to know that he is armed and dangerous and he likes explosives.”
FBI officials said the search is serious.
“He may or may not actually be on Hawaii Island, but we are taking this lead seriously out of genuine concern for local residents,” said Honolulu FBI Special Agent Tom Simon. “It’s important to recognize that this guy is considered armed and dangerous. If you know where he is, please just call it in. We don’t want anyone getting hurt trying to be a hero.”
