Ashley T. Johnson, who was serving as section chief of the International Operations Division at FBI headquarters, is the new special agent in charge of the St. Louis Field Office.
Since Johnson joined the FBI in 2007, she has held a variety of leadership positions.
She began her career as a special agent at the New Orleans Division, investigating civil rights and white-collar crimes.
In 2011, Johnson took over as supervisory special agent in the Cyber Division.
In 2013, she began supervising the civil rights and law enforcement corruption squad at the Atlanta Division, where Johnson would later supervise the domestic terrorism squad.
In 2017, Johnson was tapped to create an airport squad at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International.
Johnson was appointed in 2018 to assistant special agent in charge of the Atlanta Division’s Criminal Branch, and two years later she began working in the Human Resources Division at FBI headquarters.
Johnson received a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, a master’s in sociology, and a master of social work in public policy and social welfare.
Before joining the bureau, Johnson was a probation officer and psychiatric social worker.
