When the FBI was investigating the relationship between then-CIA Director David Petraeus and author Paula Broadwell, agents found hundreds of classified documents on Broadwell’s computer.
The newly unsealed documents offer new details of the investigation into the pair’s relationship, who had been having an affair, the Charlotte Observer reports.
Petraeus resigned as head of the CIA and pleaded guilty of mishandling classified documents as a result of the investigation.
Broadwell was never charged.
New documents show that the FBI believed the pair was misleading investigators about the exchange of classified material.
