Residents have been reporting suspicious, loud and low-flying aircraft in the Boston area since last month.

Turns out, the small planes belong to the FBI, the Business Insider reports.

While the FBI won’t comment on the planes, which include a Cessna 208 carrying registration N1132F, Cessna 206H N309JK, and Cessna 182s N859JA and N906TM, the aircraft appears to be conducting aerial surveillance and intelligence, the Business Insider wrote.

Some of the aircraft includes eavesdropping systems, including thermal and video imagery.

  1. This is what causes people to question the true motives of the media. If you want to run a story about FBI airplanes hovering over Boston, that’s fine. But, assuming your facts are correct, how is the community served by identifying the aircraft insignia? Was that a neccessary part of the story? I guess it is if the writer’s ultimate goal is to thwart law enforcements’ efforts to keep us all safe from terrorism. I would expect such behavior from left-wing rags such as the NY Times or Washington Post, but I guess “Tickle the Wire” wants to be lumped in with them as an enemy combatant of law enforcement efforts to keep America safe.
