The FBI has been questioning potential witnesses in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, trying to determine if the incident was racially motivated, NBC’s Michael Isikoff reports.
NBC reported that the questioning by FBI agents in Sanford, Fla. is part of a a “parallel investigation.” The state is also investigating the matter.
Agents are gathering background on the shooter George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain who has claimed he shot in self defense.
