The FBI probe into Scientology and human trafficking is dead, the Village Voice reports, but the details are fascinating nonetheless.
The newspaper reports that by around June, 2010, the FBI had planned to raid Scientology’s California international headquarters “using high resolution footage shot from drone aircraft, and had also recorded the tail numbers on airplanes owned by Tom Cruise in case Scientology leader David Miscavige should try to abscond from the scene.”
The Village Voice also reported that by the time the New Yorker had revealed the existence of the probe in February 2011, the investigation had been over for about four months.
