An FBI translator assigned to investigate an ISIS terrorist wound up falling in love with the German-born jihadist and married him.
Daniela Greene, 38, left her husband in the U.S. to be with a terrorist who was shown on videos holding severed heads, CNN reports.
The love affair with Denis Cuspert began in 2014, about three years after joining the FBI as a linguist. Greene was assigned to Detroit’s FBI office.
About six months later, Greene and Cuspert tied the knot in Syria. But she quickly got cold feet and returned to the U.S., where she was charged and later convicted of making false statements involving international terrorism. In August 2016, she was released from prison.
She now works as a hostess in a hotel lounge.
