A high school student claims he has hacked into the head of the CIA’s personal email account, revealing sensitive work-related documents, the New York Post reports.
The FBI is investigating.
The hacker told the Post that CIA Director John Brennan had sensitive information, inkling an application for top-secret security clearance.
According to the hacker, the AOL account also contained a letter about “harsh interrogation techniques” used on terrorism suspects and Social Security numbers of more than a dozen top American officials.
“I can’t believe he did this to the head of the CIA,’’ a law enforcement source told the Post. “[The] problem with these older-generation guys is that they don’t know anything about cybersecurity, and as you can see, it can be problematic.”
