We haven’t heard the last of mobster John Gotti Jr.
The New York Daily News reports that Gotti wants to write on true crime about his experiences and others.
“I want to try my hand at writing. I want to write about facts – possibly true crime,” The Daily News quoted as saying from the Galleria Dominick dining room in Westbury, L.I. whee he feasted with his top defense attorney and “two others on his team feasted on pasta – with marinara and pesto sauces – seafood and appetizers.”
The U.S. Attorney’s Office last week waved the white flag and declared that it would not go for a fifth racketeering trial against Gotti. The previous four resulted in mistrials after the juries deadlocked.
Gotti said that he planned to move out of New York, possibly to Virginia, Maryland or the Carolinas.
“I think it’s better for everybody if I just do move on. Out of sight. Out of mind,” he said.
Then again, it’s hard to be a successful crime writer if you’re “out of sight, out of mind.”
